On July 18, The Sensex rose by 626.91 points (0.78%) to 81,343.46, while the Nifty gained 187.85 points (0.76%) to 24,800.85 at close.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 533.06 points (1.29%) to 40,665.02, the S&P 500 lost 43.68 points (0.78%) to 5,544.59, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 125.70 points (0.7%) to 17,871.22.
ASIAN MARKETS
The previous close saw the Topix down by 0.10%, the Nikkei up by 0.12%, the Hang Seng down by 1.80%, Taiwan down by 0.70%, and the Kospi down by 1.13%.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas fell by 0.87%, and Brent Crude decreased by 0.63%.
FII/DII DATA:
1. FIIs net BOUGHT Rs 5,483 crore worth shares on 18 July.
2. DIIs net SOLD Rs 2,904 crore worth shares on 18 July.
