INDIAN MARKETS:
On September 3, in a rangebound session, the Sensex fell by 4.40 points to 82,555.44, while the Nifty rose by 1.10 points to 25,279.80.
US MARKETS:
The Dow dropped 626.15 points (1.51%) to 40,936.93, the S&P 500 fell 119.47 points (2.12%) to 5,528.93, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 577.33 points (3.26%) to 17,136.30.
ASIAN MARKETS:
The Topix fell by 2.98%, the Nikkei dropped by 3.54%, the Hang Seng declined by 1%, Taiwan's index decreased by 4.39%, and the Kospi was down by 2.54%.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Brent crude futures slipped 0.05% to USD 73.71 per barrel, while US crude
futures decreased by 0.13% to USD 70.25 per barrel.
KEY STOCKS TO WATCH:
Godfrey Phillips India has signed a term sheet to sell its
24Seven retail business to New Shop, with the deal expected to close by the end
of September.
Sudarshan Chemical is bidding to acquire its German competitor Heubach GmbH,
which filed for insolvency in April 2024.
Mankind Pharma has transferred its OTC business to its subsidiary, MCPPL,
through a slump sale. |
Indian Energy Exchange reported a 35.8% YoY increase in total volume to 12,040
MU in August 2024.
NHPC signed an MoU with Maharashtra's WRD to establish energy storage systems
and renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 7,350 MW.
