INDIAN MARKETS:
On September 4, At the close of trading, the Sensex dropped by 202.8 points, or 0.25 percent, to 82,352.64. The Nifty also fell by 81.10 points, or 0.32 percent, to 25,198.7.
US MARKETS:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 38.04 points, or 0.09%, to 40,974.97. The S&P 500 dropped 8.86 points, or 0.16%, to 5,520.07, and the Nasdaq Composite fell 52.00 points, or 0.30%, to 17,084.30.
ASIAN MARKETS:
The Topix increased by 0.17%. The Nikkei decreased by 0.44%. Taiwan
index rose by 1.15%. Kospi gained 1.11%.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas crude oil rose by 0.55%, while Brent Crude increased by 0.48%.
KEY STOCKS TO WATCH:
- Reliance Industries (RIL): The board will meet on September 5 to consider issuing bonus shares in a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, Reliance won a 10 GWh battery storage project under the government’s PLI scheme.
- General Insurance Corporation of India: The government exercised the oversubscription option in the offer for sale on September 5. The offer was subscribed 1.08 times by non-retail investors on September 4.
- Vedanta: ICRA upgraded the company’s long-term instruments rating to ‘AA’ and reaffirmed the short-term instruments rating at ‘A1+’.
- Century Textiles and Industries: The company issued a corporate guarantee for Hindalco Industries' land acquisition in Thane by Ekamaya Properties.
- Suzlon Energy: Suzlon sold its corporate office for Rs 440 crore, with a lease-back agreement for five years.
- Kalpataru Projects International: The board approved converting a loan to its Brazilian subsidiary into equity shares at BRL 2.10 per share.
- Sona BLW Precision Forgings: The company opened its QIP on
September 4, setting a floor price at Rs 699.01 per share and plans to raise Rs
2,400 crore. Additionally, it received certification for the Hub Wheel Motor
under the PLI scheme.
