INDIAN MARKETS:
On September 17, At the close, the Sensex gained 80 points (0.1%) to reach 83,068, while the Nifty rose by 34 points, settling at 25,418.50.
US MARKETS:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 15.90 points (0.04%) to 41,606.18, while the S&P 500 edged up 1.49 points (0.03%) to 5,634.58, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 35.93 points (0.20%) to 17,628.06.
ASIAN MARKETS:
Topix increased 0.45%, Nikkei increased 0.80%, Taiwan dropped by 0.36% from the previous close.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas decreased 0.55%, while Brent Crude decreased by 0.53%.
KEY STOCKS TO WATCH:
REC has made a non-binding financial commitment to boost its renewables loan book to over ₹3 lakh crore by 2030, raising the share of renewables from 8% to 30%, with a projected total loan book of ₹10 lakh crore.
Torrent Power received a Letter of Intent from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. for a 1,500 MW pumped hydro energy storage project, with a 40-year contract.
LIC has increased its stake in Biocon from 4.982% to 5.023% by acquiring an additional 5 lakh shares on September 13.
