On July 16, The Sensex closed up 51.69 points (0.06%) at 80,716.55, while the Nifty rose 26.30 points (0.11%) to 24,613.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 243.6 points (0.59%) to 41,198.08, while the S&P 500 lost 78.93 points (1.39%) to 5,588.27, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 512.42 points (2.77%) to 17,996.93.
ASIAN MARKETS
The Topix fell by 1.25%, the Nikkei by 2.19%, the Taiwan index by 2.50%, and the Kospi by 0.98% from their previous closes.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas crude rose by 0.40%, while Brent Crude increased by 0.19%.
FII/DII DATA:
1. FIIs net BOUGHT Rs 1271 crore worth shares on 16 July.
2. DIIs net SOLD Rs 529 crore worth shares on 16 July.
