INDIAN MARKETS:

On September 16, At close, the Sensex was up 97.84 points or 0.12 percent at 82,988.78, and the Nifty was up 27.25 points or 0.11 percent at 25,383.75.

 

US MARKETS:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 228.30 points, or 0.55%, to 41,622.08, the S&P 500 gained 7.07 points, or 0.13%, to 5,633.09 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 91.85 points, or 0.52%, to 17,592.13

 

ASIAN MARKETS:

Topix increased 0.9%, Nikkei dropped 0.96% from the previous close.

 

OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas rose 0.47%, while Brent Crude increased by 0.21%.


KEY STOCKS TO WATCH:

1. Samvardhana Motherson: Initiates a QIP to raise funds, setting a floor price of ₹188.85, representing a 2.6% discount from Monday's closing price. Additionally, the company plans to issue CCDs to eligible institutions. 

 2 JK Tyre: The board has approved the merger with Cavendish Industries, offering 92 JK Tyre shares for every 100 Cavendish shares. This is subject to regulatory and statutory clearances. 

 3. TVS Motor: Unveils the new Apache RR 310, its flagship premium sports motorcycle, with a starting price of ₹2.75 lakh. 

 4. Torrent Power: Signed an MoU with the Gujarat government to develop a 5 GW solar, wind, or solar-wind hybrid project in Dwarka. 

 5. Tarmat: In an 80:20 joint venture, secured a ₹139-crore contract from the Maharashtra Infrastructure Development Corporation. 

 6. Panacea Biotech: Settled a patent dispute with Sanofi India, where Sanofi agreed not to commercially launch the disputed vaccine in India. 7. Carborundum Universal: To acquire US-based Silicon Carbide Products for ₹56 crore.
