INDIAN MARKETS:
On September 12, At the close, the Sensex gained 1,439.55 points (1.77%) to reach 82,962.71, while the Nifty rose 470.40 points (1.89%) to 25,388.90.
US MARKETS:
The Dow Jones increased by 235.06 points (0.58%) to 41,096.77, the S&P 500 rose by 41.63 points (0.75%) to 5,595.76, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 174.15 points (1%) to 17,569.68.
ASIAN MARKETS:
The Topix fell by 0.58%, and the Nikkei dropped by 0.40%. Meanwhile, Taiwan's index gained 0.45%, and the Kospi rose 0.13%.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas Crude rose by 0.64%, while Brent Crude increased by 0.53%.
KEY STOCKS TO WATCH:
Reliance Industries received a Rs 63 lakh penalty from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Jamnagar, for alleged incorrect input tax credit claims. The company plans to appeal the order.
HCL Technologies is acquiring Paris-based software firm Zeena SAS for EUR 23.9 million.
HG Infra Engineering has secured a contract from Central Railway to construct a 49.45 km broad gauge line between Dhule and Nardana for Rs 716.11 crore, with work commencing on September 4, 2024.
