On August 08, The Sensex fell by 581.79 points (0.73%) to 78,886.22, while the Nifty dropped 180.50 points (0.74%) to 24,117 at close.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 683.04 points (1.76%) to 39,446.49. The S&P 500 gained 119.81 points (2.30%) to 5,319.31, and the Nasdaq Composite added 464.22 points (2.87%) to reach 16,660.02.
ASIAN MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 234.21 points (0.6%) to 38,763.45, the S&P 500 lost 40.53 points (0.77%) to 5,199.5, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 171.05 points (1.05%) to 16,195.81.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
US West Texas crude fell by 0.32%, while Brent crude declined by 0.34%.
FII/DII DATA:
1. FIIs net SOLD Rs 2,626 crore worth shares on 08 August.
2. DIIs net BOUGHT Rs 577 crore worth shares on 08 August.
