On April 2, market ended a three-day winning streak, with the Sensex closing down 110.64 points (0.15%) at 73,903.91, and the Nifty down 8.70 points (0.04%) at 22,453.30.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 396.61 points (1%) to 39,170.24. The S&P 500 decreased by 37.96 points (0.72%) to 5,205.81, and the Nasdaq Composite fell by 156.38 points (0.95%) to 16,240.45.
ASIAN MARKETS
In early Wednesday trading, Asian markets were down, with the Kospi falling 1.5 percent and the Nikkei dropping 1 percent.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
On Tuesday, the global oil benchmark Brent briefly surged above $89 a barrel, marking its highest level since October. This increase was driven by concerns over oil supplies due to Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy facilities and escalating conflict in the Middle East.
