At the close, the Sensex rose by 363.20 points, or 0.49%, to reach 74,014.55, while the Nifty gained 135.10 points, or 0.61%, ending at 22,462.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 240.52 points, or 0.60%, closing at 39,566.85. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 declined by 10.58 points, or 0.20%, settling at 5,243.77, whereas the Nasdaq Composite increased by 17.37 points, or 0.11%, reaching 16,396.83.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets saw slight gains in early trading on Tuesday, with the Nikkei up by 0.3 percent.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
On Monday, crude prices rose by approximately 1 percent, reaching a five-month high. This increase was driven by expectations of rising oil demand, fueled by positive economic updates from both the US and China. Additionally, global supplies were affected by OPEC+ cuts and incidents targeting Russian refineries, further tightening the market.

1. FIIs net SOLD Rs 522.30 crore worth shares on 01 April.
2. DIIs net BOUGHT Rs 1,208.42 crore worth shares on 01 April.
