On February 27, the Sensex gained 305.09 points (0.42%) to reach 73,095.22, while the Nifty increased by 76.30 points (0.34%) to reach 22,198.30.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 96.82 points (0.25%) to 38,972.41. In contrast, the S&P 500 increased by 8.65 points (0.17%) to 5,078.18, and the Nasdaq Composite rose by 59.05 points (0.37%) to 16,035.30.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets opened with little change on Wednesday as investors anticipated crucial U.S. inflation and China data later in the week.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices increased on Tuesday, with attention on uncertainties surrounding a potential Gaza ceasefire and expectations that the OPEC+ producer group would extend voluntary supply cuts in March. Brent crude futures went up by 0.61 percent, or 50 cents, reaching $83.03 per barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures (WTI) rose by 0.77 percent, or 60 cents, to $78.18.
