On April 23, At the close, Sensex rose by 0.12% to 73,738.45,
while Nifty increased by 0.14% to 22,368 points.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed by 0.69% to 38,503.69, the S&P 500 surged by 1.20% to 5,070.55, and the Nasdaq Composite rose by 1.59% to 15,696.64 points.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets saw widespread gains with Japan's Nikkei leading the way, surging by 2.02%. The Kospi also rose by 1.7%, following the continued rally on Wall Street for a second consecutive day.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices increased in early trading on Wednesday, building on gains from the previous session. Industry data revealing a surprising decline in U.S. crude stocks last week signalled positive demand, diverting attention from tensions in the Middle East. Brent crude futures edged up by 0.1% to $88.51 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose by 0.11% to $83.45 a barrel.
