On April 29, Sensex surged by 941.12 points, reaching 74,671.28, while Nifty rose by 223.45 points, hitting 22,643.40, both representing significant gains.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 147.4 points, reaching 38,387.06, marking a 0.39% increase. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 advanced by 16.19 points, closing at 5,116.15, a rise of 0.32%. Additionally, the Nasdaq Composite added 55.18 points, ending at 15,983.08, reflecting a 0.35% gain.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets were poised to continue their upward trajectory on Tuesday, mirroring the movements on Wall Street. Investors were eagerly anticipating the release of China's manufacturing purchasing managers’ index for April.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices fell by more than $1 a barrel on Monday. Brent crude futures for June, which expire on Tuesday, were down by $1.25, or 1.4 percent, to $88.25 a barrel. The more active July contract fell $1.01, or 1.14 percent, to $87.20 a barrel.
The US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures were down $1.19, or 1.4 percent, at $82.66 a barrel.
