On May 02, The Sensex rose by 128.33 points, reaching 74,611.11, up by 0.17%. The Nifty also increased by 43.35 points, reaching 22,648.20, up by 0.19%.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 322.37 points, or 0.85%, to 38,225.66. The S&P 500 surged by 45.81 points, or 0.91%, reaching 5,064.2, while the Nasdaq Composite rose by 235.48 points, or 1.51%, reaching 15,840.96.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets saw increases on Friday, following the upward trend set by Wall Street, with anticipation building for crucial U.S. employment figures.
South Korea's Kospi advanced by 0.60%, and the smaller-cap Kosdaq also saw gains, rising by 0.77%.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices edged up in early trade on Friday on the prospect of OPEC+ continuing output cuts, but the crude benchmarks were headed for weekly losses on U.S. economic uncertainty and limited crude supply disruptions caused by the Israel-Hamas war. Brent crude futures for July rose 16 cents to $83.83 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude for June was up 19 cents to $79.14 per barrel.
