On April 30, The Sensex fell 188.50 points (0.25%) to 74,482.78, while the Nifty dropped 38.60 points (0.17%) to 22,604.80.
US MARKETS
The S&P 500 closed down 79.92 points (1.56%) at 5,036.25, with the Nasdaq Composite dropping 325.26 points (2.00%) to 15,664.13. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 574.08 points (1.47%) to 37,823.57.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian stocks had a hesitant beginning on Thursday following the Federal Reserve's indication of potential delays in interest rate cuts.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices dropped around 2% to a seven-week low on Wednesday due to several factors including a surprise increase in U.S. crude inventories, prospects of a ceasefire agreement in the Middle East, and ongoing concerns about U.S. inflation affecting the anticipated pace of interest rate cuts and oil demand growth. Brent futures declined by $1.39, or 1.6%, to $84.94 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell by $1.39, or 1.7%, to $80.54.
