On April 22, Indian equity indices continued their upward
trend for the second consecutive session, buoyed by positive global signals and
reduced concerns about Iran-Israel tensions. The Sensex closed up by 560.29
points, or 0.77 percent, at 73,648.62, while the Nifty surged by 189.40 points,
or 0.86 percent, to reach 22,336.40.
US MARKETS
The S&P 500 climbed by 43.37 points, or 0.87 percent, closing at 5,010.60, while the Nasdaq Composite surged by 169.30 points, or 1.11 percent, reaching 15,451.31. Additionally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 253.58 points, or 0.67 percent, closing at 38,239.98.
ASIAN MARKETS
In early Tuesday trading, Asian markets showed gains, with the Strait Times up nearly 1 percent, while the Nikkei and Kospi saw marginal increases.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
In early Asian trading on Tuesday, oil prices ticked higher, rebounding from losses in the previous session, as investors remained vigilant in evaluating the geopolitical risks in the Middle East.
