On April 19, The Sensex closed higher by 599.34 points, or
0.83%, at 73,088.33, while the Nifty ended up 151.20 points, or 0.69%, at
22,147.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 211.02 points, or 0.56%, to 37,986.4, while the S&P 500 fell 43.89 points, or 0.88%, to 4,967.23. Additionally, the Nasdaq Composite declined by 319.49 points, or 2.05%, to 15,282.01.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets bounced back from Friday's sell-off, with investors focusing on upcoming data releases from China, Japan, and South Korea this week.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices edged up on Friday, with Brent futures settling at $87.29 a barrel, up 18 cents (0.21%), while the May contract for U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude ended at $83.14 a barrel, a gain of 41 cents (0.5%).
The more active June contract closed at $82.22 a barrel, up 12 cents. Despite the day's increase, oil posted a weekly decline amid reduced concerns over Middle East tensions after Iran downplayed a reported Israeli attack on its soil.
