On April 15, the Sensex fell by 845.12 points (1.14%) to
73,399.78, while the Nifty dropped by 246.90 points (1.10%) to 22,272.50.
US MARKETS
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 248.13 points (0.65%) to 37,735.11, the S&P 500 decreased by 61.59 points (1.20%) to 5,061.82, and the Nasdaq Composite fell by 290.07 points (1.79%) to 15,885.02.
ASIAN MARKETS
Asian markets continued to slide amidst anticipation of Israel's reaction to Iran's weekend air assault. Tuesday's spotlight will be on China's first-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) figures, with expectations for the world's second-largest economy to grow by 4.6 percent year-on-year. Additionally, China's industrial production and retail sales data are anticipated on Tuesday as well.
OIL & GAS UPDATES:
Oil prices climbed on Tuesday following increased tensions in the Middle East, with Israel's military chief stating that the country would retaliate against Iran's recent missile and drone attack, despite calls for restraint from allies. Brent futures for June delivery surged by 46 cents (0.5%) to reach $90.56 a barrel by 0005 GMT, while U.S. crude futures for May delivery rose by 43 cents (0.5%) to hit $85.84 a barrel.
